Associate AI Engineer

Cornerstone OnDemand is hiring an Associate AI Engineer for its Workforce Intelligence team in Hyderabad, India. This is an office-based role focused on developing an AI-powered assistant that helps managers and HR leaders understand workforce skills, career pathways, and organizational insights through natural-language conversations, large language models, and real-time analytics. Responsibilities include building and maintaining backend services, integrating LLMs, implementing prompt engineering and structured output validation, contributing to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and semantic search systems, and developing interactive frontend experiences using React and TypeScript. The role also involves improving natural-language-to-SQL pipelines, building data ingestion workflows, writing tests, monitoring production systems, and collaborating with product, data science, and engineering teams. Candidates should have 1–2 years of production backend development experience, knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems, and experience integrating LLMs into production applications. Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, vector databases, Redis, analytics databases, and AI agent patterns is advantageous.
