AI / Software Engineering Intern

aiqon is hiring AI / Software Engineering Interns for a paid, 6-month internship working on production software for industry clients. Interns will build and ship software features, contribute to AI-powered tools such as LLM integrations and retrieval pipelines, develop APIs and data pipelines, write maintainable code with tests, review pull requests, debug production issues, and collaborate with engineering, product, and client teams. Additional responsibilities may include improving developer workflows through scripts, documentation, type improvements, and infrastructure fixes. Candidates should have recently completed or be about to complete a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, or a related field. Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, familiarity with Git, HTTP, REST APIs, HTML/CSS, and experience with at least one modern framework such as React, Node.js, or a Python web stack are expected. Applicants should demonstrate genuine interest in AI/ML and software engineering through personal projects, a GitHub profile, portfolio, or LinkedIn profile. Strong written English communication skills and availability to work overlapping hours with clients in the USA and Australia are required. The internship offers mentorship, practical engineering experience, and potential consideration for a full-time engineering role. Work arrangements may be hybrid, remote, or on-site in Hyderabad.
